Hydraulic Fracturing - Induced Fractures and the Freshwater Aquifer

It is my understanding from a different report that fracing process may initially create fractures that radiate about 1000 to 1500 feet from a well, but the production zone is limited to a distance of about 300 to 500 feet because the fractures beyond this distance do not stay open.
