Note:
ReplyDeleteFor Industry Baseline Testing may need to consider seasonal variation and movement of contaminants because of poor private well construction, shallow contamination my move because of storm events or recharge events, and seasonal nature of some uses.
Suggests
1. If baseline testing indicates spikes for organics during low flow and drought conditions - it may be wise to rest following a major recharge event.
2. If private wells are shallow, have minimal casing or are springs - these sources need to be sampled at baseflow and following a recharge event.
A few thoughts
Also - we need to be proactive about documenting the use of geothermal wells, requiring permits, and construction details.
